February Newsletter 2018

Getting out and staying active during the winter months can be tough! Did you know that the Warden Hilltop Community Centre has a number of drop-in programs for all ages? Plan your week by visiting the Warden Hilltop Community Centre website, clicking the drop-in programs tab and select a program by interest.

Great news, Dolphin Gaming Centre located in Ward 35 contributed $8 million to the community  supporting numerous non-profit groups, community groups, charities and programs.  This was made possible through the Charitable Gaming Revitalization Initiative, a partnership between the provincial government, Ontario Lottery and Gaming, charities, municipalities and the private sector.  Currently the Charitable Gaming Revitalization has thirty-one charitable gaming centres in operation across Ontario, contributing more than $175 million that supports 1,800 charities and non-profits. On January 26th I was thrilled to accept the $8 million cheque on behalf of the City for community organizations and programming from MPP Lorenzo Berardinetti along side representatives from non-profits,  community organizations  and community members at Dolphin Gaming Centre located on Eglinton Avenue East.
