Fire Prevention Week October 8th-14th

Did you know that roughly half of home fire deaths result from fires reported between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., when most people are asleep?  By having working smoke alarmscarbon monoxide alarms and a home fire escape plan, Toronto Fire Services seeks to help keep residents avoid  death or injury from fires. Fire Prevention Week 2017 will take place from October 8 – 14 this year. The theme is “Every Second Counts: Plan 2 Ways Out!”. It reinforces why everyone needs to have an escape plan, watch the informative video on creating an escape plan and click here to check out the escape planning kit.
