FREE “tree for me” Event

The Danforth Gardens Neighbourhood Association with the Tree For Me Foundation wants to give you a free tree (or two) to plant on private property or on a rental property with permission of the landlord. Help the Danforth Gardens Association with their goal of planting 150 Trees for Canada’s 150th Birthday and Green Toronto’s goal of achieving a 40% tree canopy!

You can order up to two of any of the following large trees (Sugar Maple, Red Maple, Red Oak, White Pine) or small trees (Smooth Serviceberry, White Cedar). To order your tree click here.

You can pick up your tree on Saturday October 14, 2017 from 12:00 – 2:00pm at Danforth Gardens Public School. The Danforth Gardens Neighbourhood Association will show you how to plant and care for your tree. While you are there participate in community and children’s activities such as mural painting, earth play activities, sports games, and more! For more information visit www.danforthgardens.ca or email info@danforthgardens.ca.
