Participatory Budget Pilot Program in Oakridge

Last month, the City began piloting Participatory Budgeting (PB) in our Oakridge community. PB brings residents together to propose, develop, champion and vote on neighbourhood infrastructure improvements such as benches, lighting, planters, and signage on City streets, land or facilities. Each pilot-area will have a budget of $150,000.

Participatory Budgeting (PB) is also an opportunity for participants to meet their neighbours, get to know their local organizations and community groups, learn more about the City’s budget and services, and find out other ways to be involved in their neighbourhood and City.

Get involved and join the Proposal Development Meeting:

Monday June 22, 2015
Oakridge Community Centre
63 Pharmacy Avenue
6:00pm – 8:00pm
