Participatory Budget Pilot Project Update

Over the past few months, the Oakridge Community has been meeting to decide how they would like to spend $250,000 to improve the community.  Several ideas were brought forward and short listed to determine which projects are feasible for the area.  The following projects and their estimated costs are on the 2017 ballot in Oakridge:

  1. Resurface basketball court behind West Scarborough CC
  2. New playground at WSCC
  3. New lighting at Madeline Park
  4. Water bottle filling station in parks (locations TBD)
  5. Upgrade splash pad@ Oakridge Park
  6. Make playground more accessible

If you live in the Oakridge Community and are over 14 years of age please come out to vote for the project you would like to see added to the community.  Voting will be set-up at the two following locations:

  • Saturday December 2, 10am-2pm Oakridge Community Centre (63 Pharmacy)
  • Monday December 11, 4-8pm Oakridge Community Centre (63 Pharmacy) AND West Scarborough Community Centre (313 Pharmacy)
